The Mexico Equity and Income Fund, Inc. is a closed-end management investment company that focuses on long-term capital appreciation through investments in securities, primarily equity, listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange. The Fund invests at least 80% of its assets in equity and convertible securities issued by Mexican companies, as well as debt securities of Mexican issuers. It provides investors with a managed, non-diversified portfolio to gain exposure to the Mexican financial markets. The Fund is incorporated in Maryland and is registered under the U.S. Investment Company Act of 1940.
