As a result of recent purchases by RIT Capital Partners plc ('RITCP') of its
own ordinary shares, the combined holding representing both beneficial and
non-beneficial interests of Lord Rothschild, a director of RITCP, of
19,210,995 shares now represents 12.14% of the issued ordinary share capital
of RITCP (previously 11.46%).
