Baron Lambert has notified the Company that he has today acquired a non
beneficial interest in £1 ordinary shares of RIT Capital Partners plc (RITCP),
amounting to 3,357 shares. These shares were bought in the market at a price of
797p per share and are held in a trust of which Baron Lambert is a Trustee.
Following this purchase, Baron Lambert's interest in RITCP shares comprise the
following:

2,000 shares held beneficially (0.001% of share class in issue); and

3,357 held in a non beneficial capacity (0.002% of share class in issue)
