On 15 June 2006, 5,000 ordinary shares of RIT Capital Partners plc ('RITCP')
held as part of Mr Duncan Budge's beneficial interest are re-classified as a
non-beneficial interest, upon a son for whom he holds the shares ceasing to be a
minor.


Following the above, Mr Budge's interests in the ordinary shares of RITCP are as
follows:


40,139 shares (0.03% of issued) held beneficially; and

10,000 shares (0.01% of issued) held non-beneficially
