Notification of Major Interests in Shares


Notification in accordance with Part VI of the Companies Act 1985


The Company received the following notification on 9 August 2006 from RIT
Capital Partners plc:


'Part IV, Companies Act 1985

We hereby notify you pursuant to the above of our interest at close of business
on 8 August 2006 in relevant share capital of Cardpoint plc, as follows.


1. Direct beneficial interests


3,470,000 5p ordinary shares

1,324,592 5p ordinary shares, purchased by Cycladic Capital LLP under
the terms of a discretionary investment management agreement

4,794,592 5p ordinary shares


The above shares are registered in the name of The Bank of New York Nominees
Limited.


2.            Interests controlled by Cycladic Capital Management


In addition to the above, RIT Capital Partners plc ('RIT') is interested in the
remaining 5p ordinary shares and related securities of Cardpoint plc under the
control of Cycladic Capital LLP. This interest arises from RIT's interest in
more than one-third of the voting rights of Cycladic Capital LLP.


9,295,446 5p ordinary shares held by Cycladic Catalyst Master Fund under the
management of Cycladic Capital LLP


We understand that there are a total of 105,250,574 5p ordinary shares of
Cardpoint plc in issue. The interests of RIT are consequently analysed as
follows:


4,794,592 (4.55%) - material interest

9,295,446 (8.83%) - non- material interest

14,090,038 (13.38%)'
