Lord Rothschild, a director of RIT Capital Partners plc ('RITCP': the issuer), has today advised the Company in accordance with the UK Listing Authority Disclosure and Transparency Rule 3.1.2 that his Family interests in the £1 ordinary shares of RITCP comprise the following:

18,660,041 shares (12.13% of issued) held beneficially.

9,571,348 shares (6.22% of issued) held non-beneficially.

This notification follows a change in the director's role on 15 December 2010 with regard to certain family trusts, settlements and charities holding £1 ordinary shares of RIT Capital Partners plc which, in consequence, increased his aggregate non-beneficial interest by 1,710,327 shares (1.11% of issued).
