Lord Rothschild, a director of RIT Capital Partners plc ('RIT': the issuer), has today advised the Company in accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules of the UK Listing Authority that his family interests in the £1 ordinary shares of RIT comprise the following:

12,100,181 shares (7.86% of issued) held beneficially.

16,095,909 shares (10.46% of issued) held non-beneficially.

This notification follows a transfer on 23 March 2012 of 87,550 shares (0.06% of issued) by Lord Rothschild to a Rothschild family charity of which he is Patron and Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
