Directors' Shareholding

The Company announces that on 9 July 2013, Matteo Girlanda, Chief Operating Officer of the Company, purchased a total of 360,000 ordinary shares in the capital of Active Energy at a price of 2.5 pence per share.

Following the purchase, Mr Girlanda is beneficially interested in a total of 62,860,000 Ordinary Shares*, equivalent to 11.3 per cent. of the Company's issued voting share capital.

* 62,500,000 ordinary shares are held in the name of Windstar Investments S.A, a company of which Matteo Girlanda is a shareholder.
