Two-year contract to support Royal Papworth Hospital
Cambridge, UK - 27 April 2018: Feedback plc ("Feedback" or the "Company") (AIM: FDBK), the specialist medical imaging technology company, announces the signing of a new agreement with Royal Papworth Hospital, Cambridgeshire (UK) for the Company's Cadran picture archiving communication system (PACS) which provides decision support for scan analysis.
Feedback's subsidiary company, Feedback Medical Limited (formerly Cambridge Computed Imaging Limited), has signed a two-year agreement with Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (the "Trust") to support and maintain the existing Cadran PACS system. The Trust is due to move from the existing site in Papworth Everard to a new custom-built hospital on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus during 2018.
The agreement further supports Feedback's mission to create and supply evidence-based imaging software, arming clinicians with innovative tools to improve patient outcomes. Feedback Medical has been providing PACS technology and support to the Trust for over 15 years and was involved in the early development of digital image management for radiology scans as the implementation of PACS was rolled out within the UK's National Health Service (NHS). The new agreement will provide continued support for the existing systems and data management and will ensure a smooth transition and continuity of service as the Trust moves to the new Papworth Hospital.
Cadran is installed in a number of NHS sites in the East of England and represents an unseen but vital part of medical imaging, allowing scans to be easily stored, retrieved and analysed by medical practitioners to better diagnose disease and assess patient management.
David Crabb, Chief Executive Officer of Feedback plc, said: "The development of the new site and facilities is an exciting new chapter in the history of the world-leading expertise of Royal Papworth Hospital and we are pleased to be part of this journey."
Thomas Wright, PACS Manager, Radiology Department, Royal Papworth Hospital commented: "We are very pleased to have been able to continue the relationship with the team at Feedback Medical which has been proven over many years. The move to a completely new site is always going to be a challenging time but we are reassured to be able to rely on Feedback Medical and the Cadran system maintain the high standards of medical image access and management to ensure continuity of care for our patients."
Dr Stephen Brown, Chief Operating Officer at Feedback Medical, added: "Feedback Medical has a long-standing relationship and great respect for the team at Papworth and we are excited to be part of the transition to the new site and seeing Cadran in place and operating with the new Imaging capabilities and opportunities which will be available."
