Ten Lifestyle Group plc (AIM: TENG), a leading technology-enabled lifestyle and travel platform for the world's wealthy and mass affluent, today announces the appointment of Francesco de Marchis to the new role of global Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Francesco has over 20 years' experience as a technology and engineering leader. Francesco will join Ten from Jac Travel in September 2018 where, as Group CTO, he was responsible for IT and digital strategy, supporting 600 employees worldwide. Francesco has previously worked at Play.com, Orbitz and Oracle. He has a customer-focused mentality with deep sector knowledge of the multi-vertical, global travel and leisure space as well as a keen interest and experience in personalised service in a digital environment.
Francesco will be reporting directly into the CEO and will work alongside Sally Crimes, Ten's CPO.
This appointment is in line with Ten's commitment to invest in and develop its technology platforms in order to fuel its global expansion.
Alex Cheatle, CEO of Ten Lifestyle Group, said;
"We are delighted to welcome Francesco to the Ten team as our Chief Technology Officer. He has exactly the right sector experience of delivering travel and lifestyle services through innovative technology. This, combined with his knowledge of personalisation and his customer-focused mentality, both crucial to Ten's vision, makes Francesco a great fit for us. He will lead our strong and growing team of developers and be responsible for our multi-million pound annual investment into our technology platforms. This is central to our aim of becoming the most trusted travel and lifestyle service in the world.
We are launching our digital technology around the world as a central part of our strategy to achieve this goal. It's already available in three continents, across multiple categories, brands, languages and currencies. We plan to continue to innovate and refine our offering to consumers and corporates."
Francesco de Marchis, CTO of Ten Lifestyle Group, said;
"I am excited to be joining such an incredible company where technology and innovation are at the core of their strategy. More importantly, I have been impressed by the senior leadership team, their expertise, and their dedication to achieve excellence for their customers".
