Mr Wanabao Xu, Founder and Executive Director of Honye commented:

"We are extremely excited by the opportunities in the FinTech sector and look forward to meeting potential acquisition and investment targets and key industry talent as we focus on capitalizing on the opportunity we see in the sector.

"We believe that a significant opportunity is provided by FinTech's ability to disrupt the often-inefficient financial services industry, which is worth approximately $25 trillion annually and is forecast to grow exponentially in the coming years.

"We are already seeing an increasing number of consumers adopting nontraditional financial services providers, which requires financial institutions to adapt their mindsets to be open to FinTech innovations in order to embrace these developments and keep their customers. As such, we plan to identify suitable fintech businesses for investment opportunities and develop the business globally, specifically initially in Asia."
