GetBusy plc
SmartVault channel agreement with TaxCalc
GetBusy plc (AIM: GETB) ("GetBusy" or "the Company" or "the Group"), a developer of document management and communication software products, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a major reseller and integration agreement with Acorah Software Products Limited (which trades under the name "TaxCalc"), a leading UK supplier of practice management, client management and compliance software to accountants and tax advisers.
Under the agreement, TaxCalc will become a non-exclusive reseller of the Group's SmartVault product to current and prospective TaxCalc customers in the UK and overseas. The Group and TaxCalc will jointly develop an integration between the two products and co-market the integrated product suite.
With a 30-year heritage, TaxCalc has an installed base in excess of 8,000 accountancy practices and over 30,000 individual taxpayers across the United Kingdom.
Daniel Rabie, CEO of GetBusy, commented:
"We are delighted to have teamed up with TaxCalc to provide customers with a best-in-class suite of integrated software products that adds significant value to customers. SmartVault's cloud-based document management system complements TaxCalc's innovative and award-winning tax and accountancy products and provides substantial workflow efficiency and security to customers' operations.
Our partnership with TaxCalc is an important landmark in the geographic expansion of SmartVault, a core component of our strategy, and provides a substantial channel to market. The UK accounting and tax advisory market is buoyant and undergoing rapid technological change, of which TaxCalc and SmartVault are key enablers".
Tracy Ebdon-Poole, CEO of TaxCalc, commented:
"The recent expansion of the TaxCalc accountancy practice product range has significantly accelerated our new customer acquisition, particularly amongst larger firms. This in turn, led us to seek out a full document management solution for our customers. Modern cloud architecture and competitive pricing were key considerations in this search.
When a number of existing customers using SmartVault recommended it, we had a closer look and really liked it, especially as it can immediately be used with TaxCalc by exporting documents via a printer driver.
We're now excited to be working closely with GetBusy, not only by reselling SmartVault but also by developing even tighter integration for the benefit of our customers."
