Update on CEO succession
Further to the CEO Succession announcement dated 2 October 2019, Tesco PLC ("Tesco") confirms that Ken Murphy will take up the role of Group Chief Executive on 1 October 2020 and will join the Board on the same date, after fully respecting his contractual non-compete obligations.
To facilitate a smooth and seamless handover, Dave Lewis has agreed to extend his tenure as Group Chief Executive until 30 September 2020.
