TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

Close Brothers Group plc the 'Company') announces that on 21 December 2020 it transferred 2.911 ordinary shares of 25 pence each from treasury to participants in its employee share plans. The transfer price was 1,162 pence. Following the transfer of these shares, the Company holds 1,358,706 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 150,701,584 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
