TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

Close Brothers Group plc the ('Company') announces that on 18 January 2021 it transferred 10,335 ordinary shares of 25 pence each from treasury to participants in its employee share plans. The transfer price was 1162 pence. Following the transfer of these shares, the Company holds 1,340,349 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 150,719,941 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
