INSTRUMENT 2021/2 - GENDER NEUTRALITY

The Panel and the Code Committee have today published Instrument 2021/2 on the Panel's website. Instrument 2021/2 makes amendments to the Takeover Code which replace gender specific terms with gender neutral terms.

The amendments to the Code set out in Instrument 2021/2 do not materially alter the effect of the provisions in question and accordingly the amendments have been made without formal consultation.

The amendments will take effect on Monday, 5 July 2021 (the same day as the amendments to the Code made by Instrument 2021/1) and a new edition of the Code will be published on that date.
