Further to the announcement made on 4 January 2021, Synthomer plc ("the Company") announces that Dato' Lee Hau Hian's directorship of Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad ("CMC") is no longer a directorship in a publicly quoted company as a result of Batu Kawan Berhad ("Batu Kawan") having completed its takeover of CMC on 16 March 2021.

Accordingly, for the purposes of confirming the position under Listing Rule 9.6.14 (directorships in publicly quoted companies), Dato' Lee Hau Hian is a non-executive director of the Company, the managing director of Batu Kawan and a non-executive director of Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad
