Acceptance of Undertakings in Lieu of Reference

The CMA has today accepted undertakings in lieu of reference to Phase 2 given

by Adevinta ASA and eBay Inc. under section 73 of the Enterprise Act 2002. The anticipated acquisition by Adevinta ASA of eBay Classifieds Group from eBay Inc., and eBay Inc.'s acquisition of a minority stake in Adevinta ASA will therefore not be referred to Phase 2 and the undertakings which have been signed by Adevinta ASA and eBay Inc will come into effect from this date.

The text of this decision will be placed on the Competition and Market Authority's web site at Adevinta / eBay merger inquiry - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) as soon as is reasonably practical.
