LAND SECURITIES GROUP PLC - TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Land Securities Group Plc (the "Company") today announces that 3,049,943 ordinary shares of 10 2/3 pence each held as treasury shares have today been transferred at nil cost to Equiniti Trust (Jersey) Limited, the trustee of the Company's employee benefit trust (the Land Securities Plc Employee Trust), to facilitate the satisfaction of awards under the Company's shareholder-approved employee share plans.

Following the transfer, the Company holds 6,789,236 ordinary shares in treasury. The number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) is 744,525,050.
