Merger decision announced:

On 13 July 2021, the CMA decided that it was or may be the case that the following Merger has resulted or may be expected to result in a substantial lessening of competition within a market or markets in the United Kingdom.

Anticipated merger of Cargotec Corporation and Konecranes Plc

The CMA has referred the anticipated merger between Cargotec Corporation and Konecranes Plc for an in-depth phase 2 investigation under its fast track procedure, pursuant to sections 33(1) and 34ZA(2) of the Act, at the request of the merging parties.
