Merger Clearance:
The CMA has decided, on the information currently available to it, not to refer the following merger to a Phase 2 investigation under the provisions of the Enterprise Act 2002:
Title of Merger case: Completed acquisition by Pennon Group plc of Bristol Water Holdings UK Limited.
The text of this decision will be placed on the Competition and Markets Authority's web site at https://www.gov.uk/cma-cases as soon as is reasonably practicable.
The CMA is still considering whether to refer the merger for a Phase 2 investigation under the separate provisions of the Water Industry Act 1991.
