Acceptance of Undertakings in Lieu of Reference
Completed acquisition by Pennon Group plc of Bristol Water Holdings UK Limited
The CMA has today accepted undertakings in lieu of reference to Phase 2 given
by Pennon Group plc (Pennon) under section 33D of the Water Industry Act 1991. The merger between Pennon and Bristol Water Holdings UK Limited will therefore not be referred to Phase 2 and the undertakings which have been signed by Pennon will come into effect from this date.
The text of this decision will be placed on the Competition and Markets Authority's website at https://www.gov.uk/cma-cases as soon as is reasonably practical.
