PUBLIC CONSULTATION PAPER:
PRESUMPTIONS OF THE DEFINITION OF "ACTING IN CONCERT" AND RELATED MATTERS

The Code Committee of the Takeover Panel has today published a public consultation paper, PCP 2022/2, which sets out proposed amendments to the Takeover Code with regard to the presumptions of the definition of "acting in concert" and related matters. 

The PCP is available on the Current Consultations page of the Panel's website at www.thetakeoverpanel.org.uk.  The Code Committee invites comments on the amendments to the Code proposed in PCP 2022/2.  Comments should reach the Code Committee by Friday, 23 September 2022 and should be sent in the manner set out at the beginning of the PCP.

A webinar will be held on the proposed amendments in late June or early July.  Please email [email protected] to register your interest in the webinar.  A recording of the webinar will be made available on the Panel's website in due course.

In accordance with its Procedures for Amending the Takeover Code, once the Code Committee has completed its consideration of the responses to the PCP, it will publish a Response Statement setting out the final text of the amendments to the Code.
