Acceptance of Undertakings in Lieu of Reference
The CMA has today accepted undertakings in lieu of reference to Phase 2 given by Noble Corporation under section 73 of the Enterprise Act 2002. The merger between Noble Corporation (Noble) and The Drilling Company of 1972 A/S (Maersk Drilling) will therefore not be referred to Phase 2 and the undertakings which have been signed by Noble and Maersk Drilling will come into effect from this date.
The text of this decision will be placed on the Competition and Markets Authority's website at https://www.gov.uk/cma-cases as soon as is reasonably practical.
