Acceptance of Undertakings in Lieu of Reference

The CMA has today accepted undertakings in lieu of reference to Phase 2 given

under section 73 of the Enterprise Act 2002 by Independent Vetcare Limited (IVC) in relation to the completed acquisitions by IVC of (i) Penrose Veterinary Group Limited, (ii) Kevin Castle (Pet Care) Ltd, (iii) Swayne & Partners Ltd, (iv) Treforest Veterinary Clinic Limited, (v) Mercer & Hughes Limited, (vi) Swaffham Veterinary Centre Ltd, (vii) Anglesey Pet Clinic Ltd, and (viii) Chiltern Equine Clinic.

The above acquisitions by IVC will therefore not be referred to Phase 2 and the undertakings which have been signed by IVC will come into effect from this date.
