New Chair for the Takeover Panel

NEW CHAIR FOR THE TAKEOVER PANEL

Laurence Rabinowitz KC has been appointed by the Takeover Panel to be Chair from 1 May 2025 when Michael Crane KC will retire.

Laurence Rabinowitz KC will be a member of the Panel designated to sit on the Hearings Committee and Chair Designate from 1 December 2024 until then.

Laurence Rabinowitz was called to the Bar in 1987.  He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2002 and has previously served as a Deputy High Court Judge. He was educated at University of Witwatersrand and Merton College Oxford.  He is a member of One Essex Court Chambers and a Bencher of Middle Temple.   He has a wide-ranging commercial litigation and arbitration practice, which includes expertise in banking and finance, company law, energy, civil fraud, competition and professional liability cases.
