Acceptance of Undertakings in lieu: Co-operative Group/Southern Co-operative

The CMA has today accepted undertakings in lieu of reference to an in-depth, phase 2 investigation given by Co-operative Group Limited under section 73 of the Enterprise Act 2002. The completed acquisition by Co-operative Group Limited of The Southern Co-operative Limited will therefore not be referred to an in-depth, phase 2 investigation and the undertakings which have been signed by Co-operative Group Limited will come into effect from this date.
