We were delighted to welcome Helen Boyd, Director of Market Oversight at the Financial Conduct Authority to the Investor Summit 2026. Helen has been talking to Donald Leggatt, Head of IR Media at the Investor Summit about the recent rule changes to primary and secondary fundraise requirements which are intended to improve retail investor access to the Capital Markets. Initial statistics from RetailBook indicate greater retail involvement in IPO’s and fundraising more generally. Helen Boyd: “Retail are able to get some of these new deals that previously they weren't able to. That's terrific news. It's not for everybody. The important piece is that investors are well informed. They can make good decisions about their own investment choices, and that's what our reforms allow for. There's no requirement here for anyone to buy something or even to sell something, but we're about enabling access for both sides of the market to come together.” Subscribe to our Investor Summit channels to see more video and podcast content like this.
