The Schroder UK Mid Cap Fund plc invests in UK mid cap equities with the aim of providing a total return in excess of the FTSE 250 ex ITs index. UK mid-caps are positioned in a sweet spot for innovation, disruption and growth. This is one of the key reasons why the UK mid cap index has beaten many other developed market indices over the long term. The trust looks to select a portfolio of around 50 of the most attractively valued companies, resulting in a high-quality portfolio capable of delivering dependable long-term growth in a fast-changing world. Presenter: Jean Roche, Lead Manager, Schroder UK Mid Cap Fund plc Jean Roche is a member of the Pan European Small and Mid Cap team at Schroders. She has co-managed the Schroder UK Mid Cap Fund plc since she joined Schroders in 2016. Jean was an analyst and fund manager at Hargreave Hale (now Canaccord) from 2013 and previously worked on the sell-side for 10 years at Panmure Gordon and Morgan Stanley. Her investment career commenced in 1999. Jean is a member of the Code Committee of the UK’s Takeover Panel since May 2024. Qualifications: Chartered Financial Analyst; MSc in Financial and Industrial Mathematics from Dublin City University and BA Mathematics and French from National University of Ireland, Galway.
