Aberdeen City Council, following approval of the 2023/24 Budgets, confirms that it is issuing a Section 188 Notification under the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992.

The Council submits the notice in relation to post reductions, which are occurring through Voluntary Severance and Early Retirement. The number of reductions anticipated is 200 FTE over the period 11^th May 2023 to 31^st May 2024, from a workforce (headcount) of 8,375.

The necessary statutory notices are being provided to Trade Unions and Scottish Government today.
