Transaction in Own Shares

AEP announces that, in accordance with the terms of its share buyback programme announced on 24 August 2023 (the "Buyback Programme"), the Group has purchased the following number of ordinary shares of 25 pence each (the "Ordinary Shares") through Panmure Gordon (UK) Limited.

The purchased Ordinary Shares will be held by the Company in treasury. Following the purchase of these shares, the Company will have 39,976,272 Ordinary Shares in issue (including treasury shares). The total number of Ordinary Shares held by the Company in treasury is 417,841, which attract no voting rights.

The total number of voting rights in the Company, excluding treasury shares as at 8 January 2024 is 39,558,431. This figure may be used by shareholders (and others with notification obligations) as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

Since the announcement of the Buyback Programme on 24 August 2023, AEP has purchased 77,941 Ordinary Shares in aggregate which are held in treasury. 

In accordance with Article 5(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 as it applies in the UK (the Market Abuse Regulation), the table below contains detailed information of the individual trades made by Panmure Gordon (UK) Limited on behalf of the Company as part of the share buyback programme.
