Appointment of Auditor
Athelney Trust PLC (the "Company") today announces that following a competitive tender process led by the Company's Audit Committee, the Board has approved the appointment of Beever and Struthers as the Company's auditor. The appointment of Beever and Struthers will be subject to approval by shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting of the Company.
As previously announced on 16 August 2024, Moore Kingston Smith LLP resigned as the Company's auditors and confirmed that there are no circumstances connected with their resignation which they considered should be brought to the attention of the Company's members or creditors in accordance with Section 519 of the Companies Act 2006. Moore Kingston Smith LLP will be working closely with the new auditor to ensure a smooth handover.
