ANB comments on Fitch Ratings' credit rating outlook change
ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited (ANB) confirms that Fitch Ratings (Fitch) has revised the outlook on ANB's Long-Term Foreign- and Local-Currency Issuer Default Ratings (IDR) to positive, from stable.
ANB's Long-Term IDR was affirmed at A+. ANB's Short-Term Foreign- and Local-Currency IDRs were affirmed at F1.
Fitch stated that the outlook revision reflects that Fitch expects to change the anchor rating for ANB's Shareholder Support Rating to match the Long-Term IDR of its parent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited once ANB is permitted to issue loss-absorbing capacity instruments to its parent, which is likely to take place by late 2028.
