Chapel Down announced as
Official Sparkling Wine of ECB
Chapel Down, the leading and largest English wine maker, has announced a new partnership with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) as its Official Sparkling Wine.
The partnership will see Chapel Down's sparkling wine offered to winning teams on the podium at all Men's International, Women's International and Domestic Finals, watched by millions worldwide. The announcement comes on the first day of the LV= County Championship.
This is the first time the ECB has partnered with an English sparkling wine brand, following previous partnerships with Champagne. Chapel Down's partnership with the ECB cements the relationship between one of England's most popular sports, cricket, and the English sparkling wine industry.
Chapel Down CEO, Andrew Carter, said: "We are thrilled to be the Official Sparkling Wine to the England and Wales Cricket Board and delighted that future English cricket success will be celebrated with Chapel Down, English sparkling wine."
ECB Sales & Marketing Director, Russell James, added: "We are delighted to be bringing some sparkle to the cricket summer through this partnership with Chapel Down. It's great to be teaming up with a quality
home-grown brand across international, domestic and recreational cricket."
The partnership is the latest in a growing number of associations that Chapel Down has across the British sporting season. The brand is already showcased as the Official Sparkling Wine of the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race and across Ascot Racecourse throughout the year. Chapel Down extends its celebration of home-grown talent across British institutions in the world of Arts with partnerships with The Donmar Warehouse theatre, the Turner Contemporary gallery and the Royal Opera House.
