CloudCoCo Group plc
("CloudCoCo" or "the Group")
Appointment of Group Operations Director
CloudCoCo (AIM: CLCO), a leading UK provider of Managed IT services and communications solutions to private and public sector organisations, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Chester as Group Operations Director (non-board position), effective today.
Mike will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of CloudCoCo and ensuring that the Group continues to provide the very highest standards of proactive customer support as it looks to expand further.
Mike has a track record of positioning organisations for operational success in a career spanning over 25 years, 18 of which have been in the Managed Service Provider space. Most recently he was Head of Managed Services for SD-Wan specialist Axians (part of the Vinci group) and, prior to that, Group Operations Director at Redcentric plc, an AIM-listed UK IT services provider.
Mike has been responsible for the operational integration of acquisitions ranging from c. £3m to £40m and has played a pivotal role in the planning and delivery of over £5m of synergy savings and significant headcount expansion.
Mark Halpin, CEO of CloudCoCo, commented:
"I'm delighted to be able to welcome Mike Chester to the CloudCoCo family today. It is testament to how far the Group has come and what the future holds in store that we have been able to attract somebody of his calibre. Mike is a highly talented human being and I trust him implicitly.
Mike will lead a team of over 70 highly talented technical professionals who are fundamental to our continued growth. Having the highest levels of responsiveness, project delivery and customer service has meant we have recently been able to surpass the 1,000-customer mark - with Mike on board, improving our offering even further, we'll have the best possible platform to keep growing that number.
In his time in the industry, Mike has developed a strong, in-depth understanding of the link between modern IT services and business outcomes that delight customers. He has a tried and tested vision for how businesses like CloudCoCo should operate, and I look forward to working closely with him to realise it."
Mike Chester, incoming Group Operations Director, said:
"I have known Mark and some of the team around him for nearly ten years. I have been impressed with the rapid rise of CloudCoCo and am fired up to be joining a team of like-minded individuals, who I know are driven by a passion for customer service with a creative, fresh and flexible approach to the delivery of core IT services. My sole aim is to deliver real value-add to CloudCoCo's impressive list of existing and pipeline of new customers and I can't wait to get started."
