Data Communications Company (DCC) price control consultation: regulatory year 2024 to 2025
Today (Friday 7 November 2025) Ofgem is opening a consultation regarding price control information provided by the Data Communications Company (DCC) for the regulatory year 2024/25.
The DCC is the central communications body appointed to manage communications and data transfer for smart metering and holds the Smart Meter Communication Licence.
Price Control arrangements restrict DCC's revenues to ensure that costs incurred are economic and efficient. Ofgem is consulting on a proposal to disallow incurred costs of £31.030m for regulatory year 24/25.
The consultation will be open until 05/01/26.
