Approval of Directors' Appointment Qualifications

References are made to the notice of the AGM of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (the "Company") dated 6 May 2024 (the " Notice") and the announcement dated 6 June 2024 on poll results for the AGM of the Company. Capitalised terms used herein shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Notice unless otherwise specified. The Company elected Mr. XIE Weiqing and Mr. CAI Qiang, John as Non-executive Directors of the Company, with a term of office until the expiry of the 10th session of the Board of Directors of the Company, and their appointment qualifications were subject to the approval of the National Financial Regulatory Administration (the "NFRA").

The Company is pleased to announce that the Company has recently received the "Approval of Appointment Qualifications of XIE Weiqing and CAI Qiang, John as Directors of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd." (Jin Fu [2024] No. 635) issued by the NFRA. The NFRA has approved the appointment qualifications of Mr. XIE Weiqing and Mr. CAI Qiang, John as Directors of the Company. The term of office of Mr. XIE Weiqing and Mr. CAI Qiang, John as Non-executive Directors of the Company became effective on 26 September 2024.
