Trading Update & Notice of FY26 Results
Chesterfield Special Cylinders Holdings plc (AIM: CSC) is pleased to provide a trading update for the 53 weeks to 3 October 2026 (“FY26”).
The Company expects to report FY26 full-year adjusted EBITDA* of approximately £0.8m (FY25: £0.8m), in line with previous guidance, on revenue of approximately £15.6m (FY25: £16.6m) and a closing net cash** position of approximately £1.4m (FY25: £2.1m).
An improved revenue performance in the second half of the year was driven by the achievement of key milestones in overseas defence contracts and increased activity levels of in-factory lifecycle services. The Company delivered a stable adjusted EBITDA in FY26, in line with the prior year, despite delayed UK fleet docking schedules which impacted Integrity Management. In response to the uncertain hydrogen outlook, cost reduction measures have now been fully implemented, and the Company will start FY27 with a lower cost base.
The Company has a robust UK and overseas defence order book. In FY27 we expect to continue to supply UK newbuild defence programmes and support the maintenance of fleets in the UK and overseas by our Integrity Management team to deliver earnings growth. The hydrogen storage market remains uncertain, but the Company is ready to supply as and when opportunities arise.
The Company expects to release its FY26 preliminary results on Tuesday 15 December 2026.
* Adjusted EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, amortisation and other exceptional costs
** Net cash is calculated as total borrowings less cash and cash equivalents, and excludes asset finance leases and right of use asset leases
