Confirmation of CE marking approval and certification

Eco Buildings Group plc (AIM: ECOB), the UK-listed modular housing company, is pleased to announce that it has achieved CE marking (Conformite Europeenne) for its products for use throughout the European Community.

CE Marking:

CE marking is a regulatory standard that verifies a product has been assessed by the manufacturer and deemed to meet EU safety, health and environmental protection standards. It is required for products manufactured anywhere in the world that are then marketed in the EU.

Eco Buildings manufactures its glass fibre reinforced gypsum (GFRG) materials used in its modular housing in its purpose-built factory in Albania to the highest standards, as confirmed by various certifications around the world with respect to load bearing abilities, fire resistance, water adsorption and acoustic insulation. This is designed, manufactured and delivered via our unique proprietary vertical production technique of GFRG that delivers modular sections and walls that go into its modular houses.

The CE mark allows its products to be made commercially available within the EU and opens up these markets where there is considerable demand already generated.

Sanjay Bowry, CEO, Eco Buildings said, "Obtaining the CE Marking is an important milestone for Eco Buildings, opening up further parts of the European Community market, where there is already considerable interest and demand for our modular homes.

Eco Buildings has already achieved certification in Albania, Australia, the UAE and Latin America (specifically in Chile) and is now strategically positioned to leverage its manufacturing capabilities in the marketplace. The company continues to focus on expanding its presence in the modular construction sector, driving forward with a commitment to innovation and efficiency."

Notes

The Company has acquired proven and innovative prefabricated technology which has been in development and commercial use since 2006. Eco Buildings' range of prefabricated, green housing products based on glass fibre reinforced gypsum walls ("GFRG") provides a construction solution for both affordable and high-end housing.

Eco Buildings has already secured two sales contracts with major construction companies, one in Albania, the other in Kosovo, which are expected to generate gross sales revenue of approximately up to €38 million in total per annum over the first three years (approximately €114 million in total) following Admission.

The market share for factory-based building technology is expected to grow significantly over the coming years as private developers and the public sector seek to address the substantial and growing deficit in housing stock and issues of construction cost, speed and quality and housing affordability.
