Hammerson plc's Board announced on 5 May 2022 that shareholders holding 3,716,406,719 shares made valid elections for its Enhanced Scrip Dividend Alternative. This resulted in 194,637,920 new shares being issued, increasing the total issued ordinary shares to 4,614,095,081. Further to the announcement of the Final 2021 Dividend and the Enhanced Scrip Dividend Alternative on Friday, 4 March 2022, the Board of Hammerson plc announces that valid elections to participate in the Enhanced Scrip Dividend Alternative were received from Shareholders holding 3,716,406,719 Shares. Accordingly, the number of New Shares to be issued under the Enhanced Scrip Dividend Alternative is 194,637,920.
Therefore, applications have been submitted for 194,637,920 New Shares to be admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange, the secondary listing segment of the Official List of the Irish Stock Exchange plc, trading as Euronext Dublin, and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, which will bring the total number of issued 5 pence ordinary shares in the Company to 4,614,095,081.
The New Shares are expected to be issued and admitted to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, Euronext Dublin and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange on Tuesday, 10 May 2022. A further announcement will be released to confirm when those New Shares have been issued and admitted to trading on the respective stock exchanges.
