AGM Statement
Marechale Capital plc, the AIM-quoted digital merchant bank, will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 12.00 p.m. today. Ahead of the meeting, the Company provides the following update.
It has been a transformational year for Marechale Capital as we completed three strategic acquisitions to establish one of the UK's first digital merchant banks.
Marechale is now in the right place at the right time as financial markets are reshaped by digital technology. Since completing our acquisitions, the direction of travel has only become clearer. The UK Government and FCA are working alongside industry taskforces to establish the UK as a leading centre for digital financial markets and implement an evolved regulatory framework. Significantly, 2027 will see the development of new digital trading venues and mandatory adoption of digital share registers in the UK. We are actively engaged in these developments and the wider industry discussions shaping the future of capital markets.
Our corporate finance and capital markets businesses continue to make good progress, supporting several transactions across public and private markets, alongside a pipeline of IPO mandates and secondary fundraises. We are already seeing early cross-sell opportunities generated between Marechale's network of family offices and high net worth individuals, and Stanford's institutional client base. With the Blubird platform now fully integrated into the Group, management is focused on creating a sustainable and scalable growth platform. We are also progressing the development of our asset management business, establishing NJC Capital's first fund initially on a private basis.
The Group continues to make good progress in bringing together our expanded businesses to create an integrated range of services to our clients. Our proposition is clear: a digital merchant bank with complementary core business verticals, underpinned by technology as a key enabler across the Group. We are well positioned to unlock value across the Group and capitalise on opportunities from new regulation and institutional demand for digital financial markets.
