On January 1, 2026, Oil and Gas Development Company Ltd (OGDCL) announced the further receipt of Rs 8.3 Billion from Uch Power (Private) Limited. This payment was towards the settlement of outstanding receivables as part of a circular debt settlement, in continuation of an earlier announcement dated December 11, 2025.

This receipt reflects Government of Pakistan's initiative to address circular debt in the energy sector.
