OTE completed the acquisition of 30% stake in Telekom Romania Mobile
Athens, September 09, 2021 - Hellenic Telecommunications Organization S.A. ("OTE") following the announcements on 28.7.2021 and 30.7.2021 regarding the intention to acquire the 30% stake of Telekom Romania Mobile Communications S.A (TKRM), held by Telekom Romania Communications S.A. ("TKR"), as a required condition for the regulatory approval of the sale of the 54% stake OTE holds in TKR to Orange Romania, announces that, on September 09, 2021, the acquisition has been completed. As a result, OTE now controls near 100% of TKRM. The final purchase consideration, reflecting the equity value, stood at €58.9mn.
The announcement is issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 April 2014 and the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/1052 of 8 March 2016.
