Transaction in Own Shares

Pearson plc (the Company) announces today it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 25 pence each on the London Stock Exchange from Citigroup Global Markets Limited.

Aggregate number of ordinary shares of 25 pence each purchased:                               490,000

Lowest price paid per share:                                                                                             917.80p

Highest price paid per share:                                                                                            930.60p

Average price paid per share:                                                                                           924.57p

The Company will cancel the purchased shares.

These share purchases form part of the Company's existing buy-back programme which is expected to be completed over the period from 21 September 2023 to 7 March 2024, details of which were announced on 20 September 2023.
