This year's event includes two interactive panel discussions: 'Alternative Fuel Future' and 'Road to Rail'. Both sessions have been designed to spark debate surrounding two key topics that support the industry's route to zero emissions and the government's wider 'net zero' target.

Further speakers include Mark Cartwright, Head of Commercial Vehicle Incident Prevention at National Highways; Phil Roe, President of Logistics UK; and Florence Bearman, Acting Co-Chief Executive at Transaid. Microlise has been a corporate supporter of Transaid since 2015.

Following the Group's recent acquisition of Vita Software, it will also be offering live demonstrations of the new Transport Management System (TMS) during the afternoon of the conference. The first chance to see the new system up and running, delegates will learn how the new software can further optimise transport operations.

Investor Event

As part of the conference Microlise will also host a separate event for investors, beginning at 11:15, on the day. This will include an overview of Microlise's solutions and new TMS; a customer showcase in which companies explain how and why they use Microlise's solutions; and a joint presentation in which Microlise and OEM customers discuss strategy in relation to the changing nature of vehicle fuel.

The Investor Event will be followed by lunch and the opportunity to talk to Microlise's senior management. Investors wishing to attend this event should contact SEC Newgate at [email protected] to register their interest.

The Investor Event will not contain any material new financial or trading information.

Nadeem Raza, CEO, Microlise, said: "Our industry is currently undergoing significant challenges, from ever increasing pressure to transition and adopt zero-emission vehicles, to obtaining new vehicles. These challenges require us to work together and adopt new technologies and practices.

"The agenda for this year's conference is designed to provide valuable insight and knowledge on how we can transition to zero-emission vehicles and operate them successfully. We will also explore the opportunities of a more multimodal supply chain with the utilisation of rail operations. With a range of workshops speakers throughout the day, we will cover topics such as inspiring new generations to pursue careers in the logistics industry, ensuring that operations are safe and compliant, mitigating risks, and understanding the legal implications of doing so.

"We believe that collaboration is key to this industry, and our goal is to foster a culture of innovation and teamwork. This year, more than ever, we recognise the importance of collaboration and unity in the face of adversity, as our industry has shown its resilience throughout and post the pandemic."

The Microlise Transport Conference has established itself since 2007 as the industry's premier conference, offering a thought-provoking and engaging programme of speakers, complimented by four workshop areas, an exhibition featuring innovative industry suppliers and the opportunity to network with an audience of over 1,000 attendees.
