Charitable Contribution

The Board of Directors of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD)
("SEC"), on February 15, 2022, authorized the following: (i) management plan for the Social
Contribution Matching Fund (the "Fund") for 2022 and (ii) financial contribution to the Chungnam
 Samsung Academy.

Management Plans for the Social Contribution Matching Fund for 2022

- The Fund consists of SEC employees' voluntary financial contributions, as well as SEC's matching
  financial contribution. For the calendar year 2022, SEC plans to contribute to the Fund KRW 11.75
  billion to match the total amount raised by its employees in the previous year.
- SEC's contributions to the Fund are expected to be utilized to benefit the society, by contributing to
  projects related to youth education and assistance for vulnerable members of the society.

Contribution to Chungnam Samsung Academy

- SEC will make a financial contribution in the amount of KRW 2.324 billion in early March 2022 to
  Chungnam Samsung Academy as a part of its efforts to (i) attract more talented employees by
  improving the learning environment for their school-aged children and (ii) improve local educational
  infrastructure.
