SSE plc was notified on 31 August 2021 that a total of 26,698 shareholders have elected to receive the final dividend for the year ended 31 March 2021 of 56.6 pence per ordinary share in respect of 578,583,755 ordinary shares in the form of Scrip dividend. This will result in a reduction in final dividend cash funding of £327,478,405.
A total of 22,201,443 new ordinary shares, fully paid, will be issued on 23 September 2021, representing an increase of 2.13% on the issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) on the dividend record date of 30 July 2021.
