On 07 August 2023, Standard Chartered PLC purchased a total of 89,000 ordinary shares from Goldman Sachs International across two share buy-back programmes. This included 87,102 shares at a weighted average price of 744.84 pence under the 17 February 2023 programme and 1,898 shares at a weighted average price of 745.27 pence under the 31 July 2023 programme, all on the London Stock Exchange. Following the intended cancellation of these shares, Standard Chartered PLC will have 2,790,338,859 ordinary shares in issue and 697,584,714 total voting rights.

SC intends to cancel the purchased shares.
Following the cancellation of the purchased shares, SC will have 2,790,338,859 ordinary shares in issue. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in SC will be 697,584,714.
