Resignation of Auditor
Wildcat Petroleum plc (LSE: WCAT), a company targeting investment opportunities in business and assets within the upstream sector of the petroleum industry, announces the resignation of Shipleys LLP as auditors to the Company.
Shipleys LLP has advised the Company that it has decided to withdraw from providing audit services to a Public Interest Entity ("PIE"). Wildcat is classified as a PIE due to its Standard Listing on the London Stock Exchange's Main Market.
Shipleys LLP confirm that there are no circumstances connected with their ceasing to hold office which they consider should be brought to the attention of the members or creditors of the company in accordance with Section 519 of the Companies Act 2006.
It is expected that, subject to standard due diligence and take on procedures, a new auditor will be appointed in due course, at which time the Company will make a further announcement.
In view of the above developments, the Company will remove Resolution 4 (Reappointment of Auditor i.e Shipleys LLP) and Resolution 5 (Remuneration of Auditor i.e Shipleys LLP) from the AGM to be held on 22 December 2023.
