Leeds Building Society announced on 25 June 2026 that Chief Operating Officer Rob Howse will step down as a Board member and leave the Society later this year. Howse has served seven years as Chief Operating Officer, including five as a Board member. The Society also stated that a new Chief Information Officer will be appointed.

DIRECTORATE CHANGE AT LEEDS BUILDING SOCIETY
Leeds Building Society today announces that Chief Operating Officer Rob Howse is to step down as a Board member later this year and leave the Society.
A new Chief Information Officer will be appointed to lead the next phase of digital transformation and unlock the potential of new technologies being introduced by the Society.
Chief Executive Annette Barnes said: "After seven successful years as Chief Operating Officer, including five as a Board member, Rob is leaving the Society. We have agreed that now is a good time for him to pass the baton on.
"I'd like to thank Rob for everything he has contributed to during his time with us. I look forward to working with him during a smooth transition of his responsibilities in the coming months."
